|NEWSLETTER No. 55 - March 2013|
Our first event in March was our Saturday breakfast, which had been brought forward to the 2nd. due to a clash with the M.O.V.E. conference, but more on that later. In line with our new venture to follow the “Full English” with a walk in the beautiful Spanish countryside, the venue was moved to La Vida, Los Cantereros near El Pareton in order to be near to the start of the stroll along the old, disused railway line. Again Wellspring regulars were joined by friends and relatives who all enjoyed a time of fun and fellowship together over their meal before setting off on their adventure. These Saturday mornings are proving to be a great way to give non-regulars an opportunity to enjoy good Christian fellowship, and to hear a little about the love of Jesus.|
The following Saturday a large number of the Wellspring men travelled up to the conference centre in Pilar de Horadada for the annual M.O.V.E. (Men Of Vision Espana) conference. M.O.V.E. is headed up by Richard Hewes who has a holiday home on Camposol and spends a lot of time in the area. The aim of M.O.V.E. is to bring like minded Christian men of all denominations together to praise and worship the Lord, and, again, to give us the opportunity to introduce non-believers to the Lord in a friendly, non-threatening, Christian environment. This year, for the first time, the worship was led by the M.O.V.E. band made up of Cliff Clarke, Pastor Andrew Fisher and Pastor Dave Bickerdike and the guest speaker was Australian born Andy Drake.

|The following day, “Mothering Sunday”, was almost (but not entirely) taken over by the ladies. Pat led the service, our children made a great job of singing two songs (something they'd never done before !). Christine read a beautiful poem which she had writen herself, Andy Drake (who had been the guest speaker at M.O.V.E.) spoke a little about himself and his work, Audrey and Ruth led communion, Pastor Wendy brought the word and sang a very moving solo and Angela closed the service in prayer. A wonderful end to a very special day.|

on the Paseo.
In what has become a regular, annual, event we gathered on the Paseo in front of the marina on Good Friday for our Easter outreach. |
What a blessing it was to be joined by our friends from “Open Door”. It is a real privilege to be able to reach out to the local people, both Spanish and ex-pats from many countries, in word and song, and remind them of the true significance of Easter, and of our Saviours wonderful sacrifice. With many very moving worship songs, Bible readings in both English and Spanish, songs from the children, a solo from Pastor Wendy, and a sketch from Ken, Carol and the children we ended our service with a song in Spanish. Good Friday has become a very special and significant day in the Wellspring calendar.

As a church, Wellspring are sponsoring a child in the “new to us” orphanage in Kisumu, Kenya, and this is to be our focus for fund raising in 2013. Individuals are also invited to sponsor a child of their own, so if any of our “Friends Away” would like to join us, or just find out more about this wonderful project, please get in touch.
